Are you sick of settling for room-temperature beer? Or are you fed up with constantly having to make room in your fridge to accommodate your bottles of beer? Beer fridges are the ultimate solution, allowing you to store your beer at the perfect temperature.
Whether you’re a student looking to safely store your bottles, a business owner in the hospitality industry, or have a man cave and simply wish for somewhere to store your beer, a beer bottle cooler can make your life easier by keeping all your favourite drinks safe and secure.
As well as storing your bottles in the right conditions, a small drinks fridge can also display your favourite bottles of beer. A beer fridge standing proudly in your kitchen, bedroom, or business is sure to impress visitors.
Beverage coolers, such as beer fridges, are designed to store your beer in the right way. They generally have lower temperatures than wine coolers, as beer is best served a couple of degrees cooler than most wines. Most beer coolers have a temperature range of 2–10 °C, allowing you to achieve the perfect temperature.
It’s not just beer that your beer fridge can store; why not place your gin or cans of fizzy pop in the kitchen refrigerator?
Check out the selection of beer fridges we have for sale today, from top brands such as MQuvee, Liebherr, and Vestfrost. Our fridges are manufactured by leading brands in the industry, with an extremely keen eye for detail.
You can find both domestic and commercial fridges to suit your needs. Although we provide the best beer storage solutions, our speciality lies in wine storage. Check out our selection of wine coolers here.
How Many Bottles Can Beer Fridges Hold?
Our range of beer fridges at Elite Wine Refrigeration comes in different shapes and sizes; you can find freestanding models and built-in models ranging from just 16–30 cm up to 50–60 cm. Whether you’re looking for a mini beer fridge or a larger model, you’re sure to be impressed with our range of Beer Coolers.
The larger the model you choose, the higher the capacity. Our smaller models can store around 17 cans (330ml) or 21 bottles of beer, whereas our larger models can accommodate a whopping 46 cans or 61 bottles.
When choosing a wine fridge, consider the shelving. If you wish to store more cans or bottles, you could always remove the shelving to make extra room. However, be sure to check whether the model you choose features adjustable or removable shelves, as many smaller models and mini-fridges have fixed shelving.
Built-in vs Freestanding Beer Fridges
Just like wine fridges, beer coolers can come in different shapes and sizes, with two key designs: freestanding beer coolers and built-in beer fridges.
Freestanding units can be placed anywhere in your home or business; however, they aren’t designed to be integrated into small spaces such as inside cabinets or under counters. They can be used as a tabletop mini fridge or a countertop mini fridge, and they make a great display piece in any room.
When placing a freestanding drinks fridge, you must check the installation requirements. Most freestanding fridges need at least 10 inches of space above the unit and two inches of space around the rear and sides. This is to protect the wine fridge by allowing the air to flow freely in and out of the cooler.
A built-in beer fridge (under-counter drinks fridge) is designed to be installed under your kitchen counters. They offer a sleek and seamless look. The vents are located near the front of the unit, with the fans being placed underneath, so be sure to leave around 5 mm of space around the unit for optimal airflow and to prevent your mini fridge from overheating.
Thermoelectric or Compressor?
The beer fridges we have for sale feature either a compressor system or a thermoelectric cooling system. Read on to find out the core differences between the two cooling systems.
First of all, thermoelectric systems use technology based on the Peltier effect. This means that one space is cooled and another is heated, with the electric current remaining steady in a circuit with different conductors.
Electric currents are sent through two pieces of metal, ultimately creating a heat flux where heat flows from one side to the other. Thermoelectric technology allows for multi-temperature zones, although dual-zone wine fridges are more common for wine storage as opposed to beer storage.
Compressor-driven beer fridges provide a lower temperature range. They work in a similar way to regular refrigerators; however, they operate on a much smaller scale.
They use a vapour compressor cooling technology cycle to remove the heat from inside the fridge, keeping your beer bottles nice and cool. It’s a similar form of technology used in air conditioners: using a coolant gas to transfer heat.
Beer Fridges: Top Features
At Elite Wine Refrigeration, we only sell the best of the best models, full of practical and convenient features. If you’re in the market for an LED beer fridge, look no further, as our collection of beverage coolers features LED lighting.
Likewise, if you’re looking for a glass-door beer fridge or a stainless steel model, we can help. We have single-door hinged models available that can store your beer in optimal conditions. The LED lighting combined with glass reversible doors and adjustable feet means that you can display your favourite cans or bottles of beer with pride.
The beer fridges we have for sale are extremely user-friendly, featuring a control panel with touch controls. This allows you to change the settings with ease. Another user-friendly feature is the adjustable feet; these allow you to achieve the perfect placement, especially when installing your fridge for under-counter use.
Also, because they're so energy efficient and compact, you will notice that you'll not only be conserving energy (meaning your bills will go down), but you will also have more space in your kitchen to store your cold beers when space becomes tight in your home.
You can also find beer fridges that feature door locks. This is especially useful if you are a student and live in shared accommodations, or if you have young children or troublesome teens in your home.
As well as adjustable shelving, some of our models feature pull-out metal basket shelves. These offer a great place to store smaller cans. On the shelves, you can also place beverage accessories, whether it be your favourite pint glass or bottle opener.
